By Ben Nitkin on June 26, 2015 at 0:48 The usual church at dawn. I love how the lighting works, and how even dim sources spill light everywhere. Eating out at McDonald's for second breakfast, one of the most impotent important meals of the day. We must've looked so strange, the whole gang of us in spandex. A foggy lake that we stopped at. Everything looks pretty at dawn. Most of the day looked like this. Straight roads, rolling hills, and green trees. A whole pile of crickets hatched a few days before we came through. They coated everything, including this has stations window. Lunch was behind a gas station, and we put up the tent for shade. It gets got down here: usually 88-93 degrees. Taking a nap in the shade. It represents rest, sleep, and recovery. Tonight's church has a very well-decorated youth building. (Yes, they have youth buildings here) We continued our long stretch of rides today, biking 88 miles to Van Buren. This stretch totaled 380 miles in 4 days, and somewhere over 500 miles in the complete week. Everything about this trip is absurd and a little larger than life.
